his morning, while I was filling up my boat in Deweyville

This morning, while I was filling up my boat in Deweyville, a man came up to me. He asked if he could go back home yet, and sadly, I had to tell him no. He looked really sad and shared that this was the second time he had lost everything. The only thing he feels he has left to lose are his daughters. Right now, he’s living in his truck, but instead of asking for handouts, he’s trying to find work. He’s a welder and has his own truck and machines. He can work with both aluminum and steel. I’m not a welding expert, but I really respect how determined he is to get back to work. If anyone has any welding jobs available, let me know, and I’ll connect you two!

One of my fellow officers took this candid photo of me praying with him at the gas station without me realizing it. He sent it to me later. I’m asking all of you to do what I did for him and others in similar situations—please keep them in your prayers. The man told me he was raised in the church, but right now, his faith is really being tested. I can’t even imagine what people in these situations are going through.
