Today, with tears flowing down my face from a heart that feels utterly empty and broken, I have the sad news to share: this morning, the sweetest, gentlest, and most loving soul to ever grace this earth lost her battle with cancer. While I gently rubbed her sweet head, Ms. Cici peacefully slipped away, crossing over the rainbow bridge to join Ollie and little Rosie.
Her final gift to me was the serene look on her face as she lay in my arms, providing a small comfort in knowing she wasn’t hurting anymore and is now free. I can still vividly remember the first day we met; she looked up at me with her soulful eyes, as if to say, “Let’s go home, Papa.”
I take solace in knowing she lived a life full of adventures and never a day passed without her feeling how deeply she was loved. She was my angel, and I will miss her every day until we can be together again.
Rest in peace, my sweetheart. Run and play with Ollie and Rosie once more. Until we meet again, I love you so much and will carry your memory in my heart every single day.
